ITALIAN MOKA POT BREW GUIDE
Is the delicacy of the coffee coming from the moka pot and its preparation ritual your favourite?
You are in good company, in fact, more than 70% of Italians prefer to have this pot at home more than other extraction methods. This coffee maker owes its name to Mokha, a Yemen town, one of the first and most famous areas where the Arabica grows. It was invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti and consists of three parts: a kettle, a funnel-shaped filter and a collector.

STEP 1
Heat water to around 80°C degrees.

STEP 2
Fill the boiling section with hot water.

STEP 3
Remember to fill only half valve.

STEP 4
Fill the filter with ground coffee and level it.

STEP 5
Insert the filter on the boiling section and tighten the head of the moka pot around.

STEP 6
Put the moka pot on the heat with the lid open.

STEP 7
Turn off the heat right after the stream of coffee comes out and starts to fade in lighter shades of color.

STEP 8
Mix the beverage.

STEP 9
Serve the coffee.
