5 Christmas coffees to offer during the festive season

It is well known that around Christmas time, people take to the streets to go Christmas shopping or even just to soak up that festive atmosphere.

Bars often become places to meet and exchange seasons greetings and people are more open to trying out then new seasonal recipes on offer at the counter.

It is the perfect occasion for  renewing the menu in your bar and attracting customers with unusual coffees : in this article we are recommending 5 special Christmas coffees to offer during the festive period.  

Here are 5 ideas for making coffee special at Christmas

Candied orange peel, nuts, amaretto biscuits, a drop of liqueur, the indispensable chocolate and the sumptuousness of cream: not the usual quick coffee at the bar, but a real festive moment. In the end, we say that “everyone’s nicer at Christmas”, why can’t this be true of coffee too?   

Nutty Coffee 

The decisive flavor of coffee, combined with the goodness of the hazelnuts and finished off with the sweetness of the whipped cream: a tasty break for customers who stop off at your coffee shop. 

Ingredients

  • 0.25 oz of Filicori Zecchini coffee powder  
  • 0.71 oz of fresh liquid cream 
  • 1.76 oz of hazelnut topping 
  • Crumbled hazelnuts for decoration 

 

Method 

    1. Prepare the espresso (link to the perfect espresso) in the traditional way in the milk jug, then pour in the hazelnut topping. Use the steaming arm of the espresso machine to mix everything together so as to create a cream of hazelnut and coffee.
    2. Take a 5.07 fl oz glass and fill it two thirds full with the hazelnut and coffee cream.  Whip the fresh cream using the turn mix and ease it delicately onto the surface of the hazelnut and coffee mix using a spoon to help.
    3. Finally, decorate with the crumbled hazelnuts and serve your hazelnut coffee hot. 

Baileys Coffee

When coffee, Baileys and chocolate come together, the resulting drink has to be perfect!

Ingredients

  • 0.25 oz of Filicori Zecchini coffee powder
  • 0.88 oz of cold chocolate cream  
  • 0.88 oz of Baileys
  • 0.88 oz of full-fat fresh milk  
  • cocoa powder for decoration 

Method

  1. Pour the cold chocolate into a serving glass of 5.07 fl oz. Prepare the espresso in the traditional way directly in the glass, letting it sit on top of the chocolate.
  2. Add the Baileys to the mix. Take the milk jug and, using the steaming arm of the espresso machine, foam the milk. Then add it to the glass filling it to the top. 
  3. Decorate the Baileys coffee with a light dusting of cocoa powder and serve hot. 

Warm pleasure

The name says it all: this drink, made with coffee and chocolate and enriched with orange peel, will allow customers to feel the “warm” welcome of your coffee shop.

Ingredients

  • 0.25 oz of Filicori Zecchini coffee powder 
  • 0.88 oz of hot chocolate 
  • 1.06 oz of fresh liquid cream 
  • Orange peel to taste 
  • Chocolate shavings for decoration 

Method 

  1. Grate some orange peel onto the bottom of a 5.07 fl oz glass. Prepare the hot chocolate in the milk jug, then pour into the glass. 
  2. Prepare the espresso in the traditional way directly in the glass letting it sit on top of the hot chocolate.
  3. Whip the cream using the siphon, then ease it delicately onto the surface of the mix. Finally, decorate your “warm pleasure” with more orange peel and chocolate shavings and serve.  

Coffee Delight

Enriched with yoghurt mousse, orange honey and a few redcurrants, this coffee becomes a real dessert in a cup.

Ingredients

  • 0.25 oz of Filicori Zecchini  coffee powder 
  • 0.53 oz of orange honey 
  • Yoghurt mousse for decoration 
  • Redcurrants for decoration 
  • Bitter cocoa powder for decoration 

Method 

  1. Prepare the espresso in a Y” cup, having first put the orange honey in the bottom of the glass.
  2. Whip up the yoghurt mousse using the 17,64 oz siphon and ease it delicately onto  the surface of the espresso.
  3. Finish off your Coffee Delight by decorating with redcurrants and a light dusting of bitter cocoa powder. 

Amaretto Coffee

A few crumbled amaretto biscuits and a drop of milk are all you need to make a coffee special.

Ingredients

  • 0.25 oz of Filicori Zecchini  coffee powder 
  • 0.88 oz of amaretto topping 
  • 0.88 oz of full-fat fresh milk 
  • Of crumbled amaretto biscuits 

Method 

  1. Pour the amaretto topping into the bottom of a 5.07 fl oz glass then prepare the espresso in the traditional way.
  2. Foam the milk in the milk jug using the steaming arm of the espresso machine.
  3. With the help of a spoon, ease the foamed milk onto the surface of the  espresso filling it to the top. Decorate the Amaretto coffee with the crumbled amaretto biscuits and serve.
