Italians' favourite coffee preparation method, easy to do at home.
This little domestic purpose use tool is a Made in Italy icon - it shows an aluminium octagonal shape and it's part of a permanent exhibition inside New York's Mo.Ma!
Is the delicacy of the coffee coming from the moka pot and its preparation ritual your favourite? You are in good company, in fact, more than 70% of Italians prefer to have this pot at home more than other extraction methods. This coffee maker owes its name to Mokha, a Yemen town, one of the first and most famous areas where the Arabica grows. It was invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti and consists of three parts: a kettle, a funnel-shaped filter and a collector.
